2015年5月から7月までニューヨークの「スカルプチャーセンター (SculptureCenter) 」で開かれた「Spring for a Ground」展、同年7月から10月まで「ヘップワース・ウェイクフィールド（Hepworth Wakefield）」で開かれた「Particle of Inch」展、2015年10月から翌2016年1月までドイツ・ミュンスターの「Westfälischer Kunstverein」で開かれた「Halted Paves」展、2016年3月から6月までトリノの「Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo」で開かれた「Quarters」展など一連の巡回点に伴い刊行された。本書は、4つの施設より共同での依頼を受け新作を披露する展覧会シリーズの集大成となる一冊である。
